She asked for a re-write! That's what I'd hoped for. And she gave me suggestions! That's incredibly helpful. Number one, now I know what she's looking for, and number two, I completely agreed with everything she said! That's a good sign.
So, back to work!

Congratulations!! That's fantastic!
How much of a 'rewrite' is it?
Best of luck, and keep us posted! :)
HORAAAYYYYYY!!!! This means that you are going to get published! exciting! I knew you had it in you! You can't see it, but I'm dancing a victory dance just for you. Good luck with your rewrite! *hug*
I think the structure of the story is fine, and much of the current text can remain the same. I want to add more world-building details and find ways to increase the tension and the emotional impact of the story.
Right now I'm telling myself to take another five or six months on the re-write. I firmly believe that my book can be so much better than it is.
Congratulations BIG TIME!!! That means he/she's checking you out to see if you'll follow through as a professional writer would and complete your manuscript as per instructions and also as per your own inventiveness. If the editor said you can contact him/her to ask questions, do stay in touch some. If all goes well, you should get a phone call offering you a contract and an advance!!
oops. Obviously I didn't read the original post very well. The editor is a she.
Eeeee!!! :) Congratulations! This is such GOOD news! Please keep us updated.
Yep, I'm checking her out too. I've read a couple of books she edited, and I really like how quickly she responds to my e-mails, usually within a few minutes.
With any luck, I'll get away with publishing my first book without having to write a single query letter for it.
Fantastic news! You deserve it, Rebecca.
Dene is spot on. I have full confidence you will pass this test. You're attitude is positive and promising. Good luck!
