Wow! Our teacher from two years ago has knocked Dan Brown off the number one spot on the best-seller list! Of course Mr. Sanderson is benefiting from the reputation of Robert Jordan, but I still think it's really cool.

I saw him tweet about that the other day. Didn't think to post something about it here. Thanks for doing that.
And how's your future best seller coming along?
Douglas
Hi Doug!
I'm just re-writing the ending now and getting ready to re-submit. Taking my time this time, going to get it right.
How's the blog? I deleted my little writer's blog when I realized I wasn't willing to do the footwork to find readers. My book review blog is still up, though.
My blog is doing fine. I've crossed the 500 subscribers threshold for the first time. Commenting seems to be up again (helps to blog regularly). I've even set 3 goals to achieve next year:
Write quicker. Stick to schedule. Be more entertaining.
We'll see how it goes. ;)
My blog work has landed me a gig selling occasional articles to ADDitude magazine. So I close 2009 having met my goal of getting published. I've had an article and a review published now in their nationally distributed magazine, and I'm finishing up a new article today. It's a good feeling. Hope it looks good on my cover letters. Small steps, right?
I'm going to be interviewed live on HealthyPlace TV next Tuesday. That came about because of my blog, too. No idea if it's a good idea, but what the heck. I can't grow without stretching.
I'm really excited for you. I can't wait to read where you've taken the story. I'm glad you've found an editor who wants to work with you and help you shape your work. That's really something in this market. Way to go!
I forgot to mention that I dropped by a B&N in Sandy last week and saw Brandon. He remembered my face, which is a step in the right direction. ;) Pleasant meeting, but quick. He was surrounded by WoT fans hanging on his every word.
